Just a few minutes away is Los Alcazares which is located on the shores of the famous Mar Menor, Europe’s largest saltwater lagoon. Separated from the mediterranean sea by a long stretch of land known as La Manga Strip, the Mar Menor offers clear, shallow and warmer waters all round round making it the perfect location for families to enjoy. There is a promenade perfect for a stroll and several chiringuitos (Spanish beach bars) for a refreshing drink and some tapas. The buzzing town of Los Alcazares is vibrant, with many shops, bars and restaurants to enjoy. There is a variety of cuisines to suit all tastes. For traditional culture the old town and local Spanish markets are worth a visit.
There are many other towns and cities just a short drive from Santa Rosalia. The historical naval city of Cartagena is just a 20 minute drive away. It is well worth a visit to take stroll around the beautiful marina, take a boat trip, visit the famous amphitheatre, museums, historical monuments and enjoy the many shopping opportunities. You will find a variety of quaint and well known shops on the quaint cobbled streets.
Murcia city with its spectacular cathedral, traditional Spanish culture and excellent shopping is around 35 minutes away.
The lively coastal city of Torrevieja is also around 35 minutes away. Here you will find something for everyone with hundreds of shops, bars & restaurants, clubs, water parks, water sports, stunning beaches, beautiful promenades and more.
La Zenia boasting the La Zenia Boulevard is only 20 minutes away. The Boulevard offers over 150 shops, bars and restaurants including well known clothing shops such as Primark, Zara and H&M as well as exclusive designer boutiques. There is also a bowling alley, casino, cinema, huge kids play area and a floor dedicated to bars and restaurants.
There are many other towns and villages close by all with something different to offer, from coastal towns to fishing villages to towns steeped in history.
Not only is Santa Rosalia Spain within walking distance of the Mar Menor Golf course it is also just a short drive from many more. The most well known is probably the prestigious La Manga Golf Club, located near the Mar Menor, just a 25 minute drive from Santa Rosalia Lake and Life Resort.
Other golf courses close by include Roda Golf, La Serena Golf, Hacienda del Alamo and Sierra Golf, Villamartin Golf, Las Colinas Golf plus many more. You will find at least 20 golf courses less than 25km away. Whether you are a complete beginner or play at a professional level, you will certainly find several courses within driving distance to suit your needs.
